    Black Hog Brewing in Oxford CT, is looking for an experienced Brewer to come in at a Lead brewer position and train for Head Brewer position rapidly. Will report directly to the Master Brewer Tyler Jones, known as the Lord of the Liquid (LOL) around these parts. We are looking for a person that has a passion for brewing the highest quality beer possible and is a huge team player. Everyone here at Black Hog works with each other to keep all aspects of a 6000bbl/year brewery running smoothly. We are running a 15bbl Premier Stainless brewhouse and have (5) 30bbl and (3) 60bbl fermenters brewing 5 days a week singles and doubles.

    Main responsibilities are:

    -Brewing and Scheduling all beers needed from Schedule given by Tyler. Including yourself, there is Tyler and an assistant brewer available to make the liquid.
    -Assist in the Cellar work to keep the beer Flowing
    -Keeping detailed notes for all Brewing operations in FileMaker Pro.

    -Inventorying and ordering all raw materials to produce the beer.
    -Yeast management of the multiple yeasts strains in use at all time
    -Scheduling Packaging days to make the Production Plan and Sales Plan seamless.
    -Scheduling and performing Preventive maintenance of all brewing equipment to keep them running at their peak performance.
    -Full End of month Inventory of all brewing Raw Materials.

    -Coordination with our farmers for spent grain bins to be dropped off and picked up.
    -Drink a beer with us all at the end of the day!

    The ideal candidate will have:
    -Dedicated Team player
    -Passion for Beer and fermentation
    -Formal Brewing education or equivalent brewing experience over a min of 4 years in the brewing industry
    -Expertise in the following computer programs a big plus: Excel, FileMaker Pro, GPA Analytics

    -Staring at $45k salary. Brewing experience will be considered.
    -50% of Medical expense covered
    -PTO of one week (after a 4-month grace period) that will increase to 2 weeks after a full year of employment.
