Position: Full Time Brewer
Shift Hours: M-F 8am-5pm; occasions outside of regular hours for special events

Age Requirement: 21 years or older
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
All aspects of brewing production on a 7-bbl two vessel brew system
CIP & maintain the cleanliness of the brewhouse and related areas
Monitor brewing equipment mechanical and operational integrity; document &
communicate maintenance issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Equipment preventative maintenance as needed
Track inventory of malt and hops, communicating discrepancies in timely manner
Thorough & timely communication with management personnel for effective and
efficient shift execution
Cellar management: Beer transfers, Tank CIP’s, Dry Hopping, Yeast handling and
management, Keg Washing, cleaning draft lines
Closely monitor fermentation and be able to quickly identify discrepancies
Monitor, test, and adjust CO2 levels
Sensory analysis of all beers on an as needed basis
Assist with Packaging Duties (kegging and canning)
Consistent, timely, and accurate documentation of all processes handled
Work in a clean manner and maintain sanitary practices at all times
Work with prescribed cleaning chemicals, based upon established usage, OSHA,
and MSDS requirements
Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality for all shifts
Assist in weekend duties as needed
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Possess a strong work ethic and consummate desire to improve on a daily basis
Ability to work independently and make data based decisions & judgment calls
Ability to operate in a team environment
Ability to manage multiple tasks and time manage in a fast paced environment
Ability to work flexible shifts, including extended hours and overtime as needed
Ability to clearly and concisely communicate, verbally and in writing
Ability to occasionally help with special releases, special events, and festivals
Ability to operate a pallet jack and hand truck safely in a small space
Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform
duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors
of the position in operational and administrative situations.
Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds, remove spent grain, and
maneuver full kegs for 8+ hours a day
Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend,
talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls. .
Required Work Experience & Education
2+ years experience brewing on a 3+ bbl brewhouse
1+ years experience handling cellar work as described above
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Preferred Work Experience & Education
3+ years of work experience (wort making and cellar work) in brewing industry
Bachelor’s degree (in science or technically related field of study)
Formal brewing education or college-level equivalent preferred
In-depth knowledge of brewing raw materials
