We here at The Alementary in Hackensack, NJ, run an awesome brewery with an incredible team that we are looking to expand! We need a second shift brewer and shift lead to join the team and increase production. We manufacture our own beers (of course), and we have a significant contract manufacturing practice as well.
Specifically:
1.) high school diploma required
2.) secondary brewing education preferred, or at least two years of professional brewing experience in a hot-side role
3.) ability to repeatedly lift 150lbs and stand for extended periods of time
4.) knowledge and practice in chemical handling safety
5.) existing forklift training and certifications
6.) ability and proven track record of operating independently, but in a collaborative environment
This is a position focused on pure production and meeting existing QC standards. This isn’t a head brewer position, but there’s opportunity to grow in that direction. You’ll have the opportunity to pitch new and novel products and brew them on our 7bbl pilot system. We operate a 7000bbl/year brewery on a pretty small team, so cultural fit is key.
