Lazarus Brewing Company has an opening for a driven, talented assistant brewer to join our team in Austin, Texas. We are a fast-growing brewpub in the heart of East Austin, producing 1200 barrels this past year.

Job responsibilities include:
- Raw materials: Assessment, organization, management, and inventory
- Wort production: Production of specified wort with attention to detail and world-class manufacturing techniques
- Yeast management: Harvesting, pitching, cell counts, and daily monitoring of fermentations
- Barrel program: Filling, emptying, and sampling as needed
- Bright beer: Transfer of finished beer, carbonation testing, and quality assurance
- Packaging: Packaging of bright and still beer in kegs large format bottles, and cans.
- CIP Operations: Cleaning of fermentation vessels, bright tanks, kegs, and brewing equipment using industry best practices
- Minimum 2 years of relevant brewing experience
- Brewing-related certification or degree preferred
- Intensive attention to detail and self-motivation
- Ability to work unsupervised while maintaining safety and quality standards
- Time management skills and situational awareness
- Ability to manage multiple processes at one time
- Ability to effectively communicate with team members throughout the brewery
- Strongly prefer availability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to meet physical challenges of working in a production brewery
- Candidates with mechanical or related experience preferred
- Ability to lift a minimum of 55 lbs.
