Assistant Brewer Needed - Greater St. Louis Area

Good News Brewing is looking to expand our brewing team as we add our 4^th location in Augusta, MO.
The assistant brewer will work with the rest of the brewing team and will have responsibilities in all areas of brewing operations.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist with brewhouse operations (i.e. milling, mashing, lautering, etc.)
• Tank management (gravity checks, trub dumps and dry-hopping)
• Yeast management (harvesting, pitching and viabilities)
• CIP/Sanitization on all vessels (fermenters, brewhouse, heat exchanger, etc.)
• Variety of packaging duties including kegging, canning, and bottling.
• Keg cleaning
• Tap line cleaning
• Management of keg inventory at all locations.
• Ensuring paperwork and associated reporting is kept up to date
• Troubleshooting, technical maintenance, and quality assurance

Key skills and requirements:

• At least one year of brewing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of the brewing fundamentals and processes, along with a desire to continue to learn and grow.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage one's self and work in an efficient manner, interacting with team members effectively and professionally.
• Requires the ability to work in a fast paced, wet, loud production environment on one’s feet for most of the day and repeatedly lift at least 55lbs.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work at all locations, including some nights and weekends.
