Head Brewer for No Shoes Brewery – Atlanta, GA area
No Shoes Brewery will be opening Q2, 2022 with a target location in North Atlanta suburb around Norcross, GA. No Shoes will operate on a 2 vessel 10 bbl brewhouse. No Shoes will operate as a taproom focused brewery with limited distribution. Its goal is to build a culture and reputation that will make No Shoes a go to stop for great craft beer and relaxing fun times with friends and family. This is a great opportunity for a brewer that is looking to take a lead role in creating great beer and have an impact in the development and build out of the brewery.
Essential Duties:
No Shoes Brewery will be opening Q2, 2022 with a target location in North Atlanta suburb around Norcross, GA. No Shoes will operate on a 2 vessel 10 bbl brewhouse. No Shoes will operate as a taproom focused brewery with limited distribution. Its goal is to build a culture and reputation that will make No Shoes a go to stop for great craft beer and relaxing fun times with friends and family. Essential Duties:
- Recipe development and experimentation
- Produce wort on the 10 BBL, 2 vessel system
- Manage the brewing and cellar team
- Perform CIP and sanitation of brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Hire and train new brewers as needed
- Yeast management
- Execute fermentation and wort production schedule and tank rotation
- Assist in development and performance of quality control processes and procedures
- Coordinate with General Manager on raw material needs and inventory management
- Manage production and packaging schedules
- Coordinate with Taproom Manager regarding production and packaging schedules
- Participate in continuous improvement programs
- Craft brewing experience and references
- Creative recipe mindset
- Willingness to try and not afraid to fail
- Experience with wide variety of brewhouse and cellar equipment
- Experience with broad fermentation, yeast and barrel aging activities
- Desire to lead, listen, learn, communicate, delegate and build with and the team around them
- Able to lift heavy materials and equipment (55-170 lbs)
- Able to work 8-12 hours, lots of time on feet
- Knowledge of cleaning processes and chemicals for all brewing equipment
