Master Brewer - Waterfront Brewery in Key West, Fl

Summary of Position:
Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of brewing experience inside the brewery including overseeing labs, transfers, sanitation/cleanliness and adhering to production schedules. Housing option available for a candidate that is relocating from another area.
Position Activities and Tasks:

• Manage quality assurance; control systems
• Ensure that all beer is produced to standards and specifications
• Maintain all recipes
• Manage production schedule and storage; assist with distribution as needed
• Transfer beer; keg off beer in serving tank as needed
• Order ingredients as needed; take delivery of malt and other raw materials
• Verify orders; sort by type for future inventory
• Ensure invoices are batched and sent to accounting in a timely manner
• Manage assistant brewers
• Represent brewery at beer festivals, in various beer communities and academically
• Other tasks as identified by Ownership

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• 3+ years of brewing experience
• 4 year Science degree is preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must have a high level of mobility/flexibility
• Must be able to work under heavy stress/pressure during peak times
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold and odors
• Requires reaching, bending, pushing, pulling and climbing
• Able to life 55+ lbs, able to push/pull 165+ lbs
• Requires continual standing and walking
• Must be able to read, write and speak English
• Shift flexibility to attend to various aspects of the brewing cycle

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 per year
