Cellarmaker Brewing Company of San Francisco, California is looking to hire one (1) full time highly qualified beermaker (brewer). The position will require, but is not limited to: brewhouse operations, transferring beer and wort, tank CIP, canning line operation and offloading, keg cleaning and filling and other cellar operations, yeast handling/counting, barrel filling and racking. You must have high endurance; this is a physical job that requires 8-10 hours of work as well as the ability to lift 65 lbs. regularly.
Applicants must have 1 or more years of full time brewhouse operations experience, with a substantial understanding of wort production, tank cleaning and sanitation as well as transfer and clarification of finished beer. The hire must be passionate about beer, motivated and has a basic knowledge of current science and terminologies. The ideal candidate is a self starter who brings ideas and solutions to the table. Excellent communication skills will ensure a productive employment relationship.
You must be fully vaccinated including the two week buffer after your booster shot (where applicable) in order to start employment.
We are a very small company and require a high attention to detail as well as a personality that doesn't mind going above and beyond the call of duty. Punctuality and an upbeat disposition are a must. Higher education in brewing science is not required.
Start date is between 5/20-6/1. The Bay Area is extremely expensive to live in so serious applicants should take this into consideration if relocation is required. The hire must have a permanent residence within a reasonable commuting distance before the agreed-upon hire date.
