    Warfield Brewery in Ketchum, Idaho is looking for a Brewer to work with Master Brewer, Mark Hamon and the distilling team! We are a small brewery and distillery that is growing, and we need assistance from someone who is keen to contribute to our success. We are a brewery and distillery and you'll be helping in both areas from beer and whiskey wash production to distillation and packaging.


    Requirements:

    Able to safely lift kegs (but not Highland Games style, although impressive if you can do so)

    Able to follow oral and written instructions.

    Commitment to quality and doing things right every time

    Detail and process oriented a must

    Cleanliness (to an insane degree) is a must (did I mention I like it clean?)

    Work on a ladder periodically up to height of 20 feet.

    Physically be able to bend over, twist, kneel, climb stairs, stand all day, lift 55+ pounds, work in a non-temperature controlled environment and repeatedly handle hot and cold liquids.

    Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8-10 hours per day).

    Strictly follow recipes and standard operating procedures while recommending ways of improving them.

    Willingness to work occasional weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

    Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical


    Responsibilities:

    Responsible for wort and beer production

    Independently clean, sanitize and operate all equipment within the building

    Ensure that all products meet required quality control points through proper technique and measurement.

    Transfer, carbonate and pack beer as needed

    Operate canning and bottling machines

    Recording brewery metrics

    Managing Inventory of brewery supplies

    Maintain beer inventory

    Yeast management

    Create and maintain QA/QC programs

    Help in all areas of the brewery as needed, including taproom, restaurant, sales, events, deliveries

    Reporting to Head Brewer and owners on brewery/distillery operations.

    Preferred Candidate skills:

    Commercial brewing or packaging experience

    High School Diploma. College education preferred.

    Brewing, Engineering, Fermentation Science degree or other related education preferred

    Clean driving record

    21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States

    Forklift Certified
