Shift Brewer wanted for growing, established brewery
Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Company is currently looking to add another production brewer to our existing staff. We currently operate a 20bbl, 3-vessel brewhouse and are on pace to produce 5000 bbl this year. We are looking for someone who is passionate, motivated. This is a full time position with responsibilities including, but not limited to:
Working both independently and as part of a team Following established SOP
Brewhouse operations including wort production and vessel cleaning
CIP of fermenters, heat exchanger, brite tanks, and other brewery equipment
Did I mention cleaning things
Safely and carefully working with chemicals
Yeast handling
Understanding of brewing science
Lab experience a plus(cell count, viability testing, etc)
Ability to critically think on your feet
Mechanical/troubleshooting aptitude a plus Ability to lift 55 lb grain bags
Safely move 165 lb kegs
Ability to multi task Forklift operation a plus
Safety first mindset Filtration experience (lenticular) a plus
Ability to work on canning line as necessary
Willingness to work as part of a flexible shift
2 years experience in a brewery setting, with at least 1 year of wort production (preferably in a production brewery)
