    We're looking for a passionate, excited, and experienced person to come on board to help head up production and operations at a newly opened production facility in Delmar, DE. Ideal candidate will have serious industry experience with a focused interest on pushing the boundaries of what beer can encompass. Pay is negotiable and will be commensurate with experience based on past qualifications and agreed upon production goals.

    Summary/Objective: The Head Brewer is responsible for overseeing wort production, fermentation, conditioning, clarification, and carbonation of all beer produced by Loakal Branch Brewing Company in Delmar, DE. This position will supervise and schedule brewhouse production and cellar operations working across multiple shifts. The Head Brewer will work with personnel from the supply chain, packaging, and quality departments to ensure that production demands are met efficiently and to the highest standards. The Head Brewer will also be responsible for general brewery upkeep and cleanliness, ensuring safe and efficient brewery operations, adhering to good manufacturing practices, accurately reporting production activities, and effectively communicating with other staff and departments.


    Job Duties / Expectations:
    • Day to Day Brewhouse Operations: (this includes but is not limited to)
      • Maintaining a clean working environment
      • Ensure safe and efficient brewhouse operations
      • Adhering to good manufacturing practices
      • Oversight of all brewing & packaging operations to hit 1,500 bbl/yr
      • Accurately reporting production activities and communicating with other staff and departments
      • Ordering and inventory of supplies for the brewhouse (from raw materials to packaged product)
      • Maintenance of all on-site equipment
      • Monthly filing of State & Federal Brewer’s Report Taxes
      • Log and file all statistics and data related to brewhouse operations (brew sheets, google docs, taxes, etc.)
      • Scheduling brewhouse operations (production, packaging, distribution, etc.)
      • Train and educate staff on standard operating procedures
    • Sales:
      • Work with distributors to sell all beer at its freshest
      • Maintain relationships with distributors
      • Prepare and organize outgoing shipments
