    Company Description:
    Bishop Cider Company started as a Dallas-based hard cider company, but has grown into a beverage-experience powerhouse. The company is comprised of three separate, yet symbiotic, strategies:
    • Own premise: There are currently four own-premise locations (Bishop Arts Tasting Room, Cidercade Dallas, Cidercade Houston, and Cidercade Austin) and many more on the way.
    • Wholesale: Manufacture and wholesale of alcoholic beverages (hard cider, wine, hard kombucha, hard seltzer, and hard smoothies) to 8 states. 2021 production will be approximately 600,000 gallons.
    • Co-manufacturing: Co-packing beverages for other emerging brands, both alcoholic and non.

    Beverage Production Manager / Head Cidermaker / Brewmaster

    Job Description:
    This person is the production head over all of our alcoholic products (wine, hard cider, hard seltzer, hard kombucha, and hard smoothies).

    The right person is very organized, detail-oriented, and holds high standards for both- productivity and morale. They need to be a good communicator with a broad technical and mechanical knowledge, while also possessing the creativity to dream-up fun, innovative beverages.

    Production Staff Management
    • Setting schedules
    • Training and equipping
    • Upholding quality standards
    • Ensuring SOPs are always followed
    • Monitoring staff and processes to confirm adherence to high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation
    Production Planning
    • Reviewing distributor purchase orders and then creating a plan accordingly in the ERP software
    • Purchasing all raw materials while balancing POs, warehouse space, and lead-times
    • Inventory tracking and record-keeping
    Recipe Creation
    • From ideation to market entry, this person is responsible for the entire process of new product creation. We introduce approximately 20 new recipes each quarter (wine, hard cider, hard kombucha, hard smoothies, hard seltzer)
    • Raw material sourcing and testing upon receipt
    • Small-scale test batches
    • Costing analysis
    • Determining scalability and process for making it on a larger scale
    • Performing QA/QC tests with lab equipment throughout the entire process and keeping diligent logs
    Efficiency Tracking
    • Setting KPIs for labor/bbl and constantly striving for efficiency improvements
    Software
    • Knowledge of OrchestratedBeer is a plus, but not required.

    Compensation & Benefits:
    • Extremely competitive, but based on experience. $75k-175k.
    • Health Insurance - company pays 70% for employee, spouse, and children (if applicable)

    • Relocation: company will pay to relocate the right candidate to Texas.
