Burial Beer Co. is looking to add a brewer to our production team. This role will rotate between our Pub brewery and Production brewery with responsibilities encompassing both hot and cold side production. This position will rotate between facilities so a flexible attitude is a plus for any candidate.
Brewer Job duties
- Assist with inventory management/counts/organization of finished beer, grain, hops, and other raw materials inventory.
- Brew and package beer according to brew schedule
- Keep Brewing Facility clean and functional at all times
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure product is consistent and meets quality standards
- Maintain detailed records of all brewing data
- Operate 20bbl and 10 bbl brewhouse and brew Burial beers of all types according to SOPs, at our Forestry Camp and brew pub locations.
- Perform CIP/SIP cycles, gravity readings, temp control, adjuncting, dry hopping, yeast handling, general cellar work.
- Operate GEA Centrifuge in accordance to existing SOP’s
- Use and update both BeerSmith and Ekos software
- Participate in sensory program
- Operate Forklift/scissor lift
- Open/Close brewery
- Accept/ receive deliveries
- General facility/equipment maintenance (chiller, boiler, air compressor, brewhouse, etc.)
- Package beer in kegs, cans, bottles in accordance to sop’s
Burial Beer Brewer Job Requirements
- 3+ years brewing experience.
- 1+ years Centrifuge experience.
- Detail/solution oriented outlook.
- Basic troubleshooting skills .
- Proficient with Microsoft/google suite.
- Forklift certification is a plus but in house training is possible.
- Flexible/adaptive work style.
- Ability to multitask and communicate safely in a fast paced loud environment.
- Must be able to lift 55lbs and move 165lbs, as needed.
