    FT Assistant Brewer/Cellar Operator (Entry Level)

    Black Hoof Brewery is a four-year-old 3bbl brewery taproom located in the heart of Historic Downtown Leesburg, Virginia with current annual production of 360bbl and a significant expansion in process. Owner and brewer Bill Haase is renowned for medal-winning traditional German-style beers, which require a commitment to precision techniques and procedures. The ideal Cellar Operator candidate is an individual with a desire to enhance their brewing skills and knowledge in a professional setting.

    Duties and Responsibilities include:

    Reporting to and assisting Head Brewer in Brewhouse operations.

    Vessel CIP, transferring, finishing.

    Keg cleaning, kegging, and cask aging.

    Cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance.

    Draft line cleaning and maintenance.

    Assisting owner or taproom manager with various projects or duties.

    Minimum Requirements include:

    Interest in brewing as a professional career.

    Attention to organization, detail, and cleanliness.

    Commitment to following chemical handling and other safety procedures.

    Mechanical and scientific curiosity.

    Ability to lift 55lb grain sacks overhead.


    Starting salary $30K/yr or commensurate with experience, increasing with advancement.
    Seven paid holidays and three weeks paid vacation per year.
