Greenwood Brewing is hiring a full time Assistant Brewer. We are located in the Roosevelt Row district of downtown Phoenix. This is a full time position reporting to the Head Brewer and Leader of Greenwood’s Beer Program. The position will require flexible hours and the ability to work alternating weekends.

Previous brewery/brewing experience is required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Wort production
Raw ingredients handling
Yeast pitching and handling
CIP/SIP of all brewery equipment
Analysis and measurement of gravity, pH, vCO2, temperature Beer transfers and clarification
Carbonation
Kegging
Operation of keg washer
Draft line cleaning and maintenance
Qualities of our candidate:
Is hardworking and passionate about craft beer
Must be able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs
Can handle the physical demands of brewery labor: standing, squatting, walking, carrying, lifting, seeing and listening
Can work safely with hazardous chemicals
Can work in a wet, hot environment
Highly attentive to detail and is able to effectively multi-task
Is willing to learn and continually strives to increase brewing knowledge
Strong mechanical and problem-solving aptitude is a bonus
The ability to work unsupervised and manage your own time and the time of others effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Position includes:
40 hours per week hourly pay
Moving stipend/sign on bonus
Medical coverage provided through brewers guild directly to employee
