This is not your typical Brewer position.

We are a leading BioMed company that is also interested in developing unique health products, and beer is one of them. In this position, you will be a team of 1 (the brew person) and work with our research scientists to produce small batch products aimed at improving many different health conditions and aging. If you have the brewing background, and want to work in a science based environment, this may be a very interesting role for you. Oh yeah, and it comes with benefits.

Job Description: This position is full time and compensation is commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years experience in a home brew environment
• BJCP or Cicerone certification preferred
• Ability to create SOPs and other documentation to produce a consistent, high quality product
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to think critically and react swiftly and appropriately to changing conditions
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and other workplace hazards according to safety protocols
• Ability to work well in a team and encourage positive morale
• Ability to lift 55lb bags
• Ability to support in packaging operations (bottling, kegging, packaging prep, etc…)

Responsibilities:

• Raw Materials Prep
• Wort Production (full brewhouse operation)
• Brewing Log Record Keeping
• Cellar Duties
• Yeast Harvesting/ management
• cell counts
• Daily gravity & pH measurements
• Beer transfers
• Yeast to waste
• Temp/ pressure monitoring
• Fermentation/ cellar record keeping
• Sanitary techniques
• CIP, cleaning, and Preventative Maintenance of equipment and work areas

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
