- Keepsake Brewery will be a family owned and operated, 15-barrel production brewery that will work to make world class beer, create a singular and familial community space, provide meaningful career opportunities and be an industry leader in employee pay and benefits and environmental sustainability.
- The brewery will focus on the continual refinement of a select number of pleasant, timeless beers, including Continental European Lagers and lower gravity Belgian and California Style Ales.
- With a focus on utilizing global best practices in production, service, and sustainability, Keepsake will provide unmatched standards of quality and customer experience.
- Keepsake will occupy a 4,000 sq. ft production space and tasting room on a bucolic acre in Mt Holly, North Carolina, and will self-distribute its beer throughout the Charlotte metro area.
- Keepsake Brewery is on pace to begin production in the Summer/Fall of 2022.
- Keepsake Brewery is looking for a talented, knowledgeable, experienced, quality focused Head Brewer.
- The Head Brewer will perform duties including but not limited to:
- Raw materials, brewing supplies, and chemicals inventory management.
- Production scheduling.
- Development and refinement of all recipes.
- Wort production.
- Fermentation management.
- Packaging.
- Brewery cleaning and maintenance.
- Laboratory analysis.
- Authorship and management of production SOP's.
- Hop contract management.
- Coordination of spent grain, compost, and wastewater disposal.
- The Head Brewer will manage the Keepsake Brewery production team and will be responsible for hiring and training production team members.
- Vested ownership stake in Keepsake Brewery.
- Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000.
- Eligibility to participate in the Company-sponsored health care plan.
- Unlimited Paid time off.
- Reimbursement of all costs related to the moving and storing of furnishings and other household goods, and travel costs for you and your family.
- Keepsake intends to offer 401k matching and a childcare credit to full time employees no later than its third year in operation.
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Head Brewer at a production brewery.
- Experience hiring and training production team members.
- Strong communication skills.
- Clean driving record.
