  • Seeking Experienced Brewer in the Nashville Area



    Mill Creek Brewing Company is looking for an experienced Brewer to join our production team. Mill Creek is located 15 minutes from downtown Nashville, in the fast growing suburb of Nolensville. Our beer is distributed throughout Tennessee, and we are steadily growing.


    Essential Functions/Responsibilities
    • Perform assigned tasks according to Mill Creek Safety Standards and SOP’s.
    • Direct and assist Cellar workers with daily operations
    • Wort Production on our 30bbl automated brewhouse (60bbl and 120bbl Fermenters)
    • Prepare grains, hops, and other ingredients for brewing
    • Monitor fermentation and keep accurate records daily
    • CIP’s of brewhouse and fermenters/brite tanks
    • Canning operations (seamer adjustments, can seam checks, shrink sleeve applicator, troubleshooting and maintenance, etc..) when needed
    • Beer transfers and filtering
    • Yeast handling and management
    • Mange barrel program
    • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
    • General warehouse duties
    • Attend outside events and festivals as needed
    • Represent Mill Creek with professionalism at all times
    • Any and all other assigned tasks


    Job Requirements
    • At least 2 years of brewing experience in a production brewery
    • Professional brewing degree/certification strongly preferred
    • Background or degree in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Physics preferred
    • Ability to work independently
    • General mechanical aptitude
    • Forklift certification or extensive experience
    • Self motivated
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Communicates effectively both verbal and written
    • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Google Suite
    • Critical thinking and strong problem solving skills are a must


    Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to lift 65lbs and move 175lbs regularly
    • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, work from heights, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch for long periods of time
    • Work near moving parts and machinery
    • Ability to work in a loud, wet, hot, cold, indoor and outdoor environments
    • Work Safely With Hazardous Materials

    Position
    • Employment Type: Full Time
    • Pay Type: Salaried
    • This Position Reports directly to the Head Brewer
    • Compensation Based on experience
