Route 7 Beer Co., a 10 BBL production brewery with a beautiful taproom, mezzanine, large outdoor beer garden and appetizing food menu at a prime location in Ashburn, Virginia in the heart of Loudoun county only spells success and good times. We are visible from Route 7 a major primary state highway and busy commuter route in Northern Virginia and 15 minutes form Washington Dulles International Airport.
Our vision for Route 7 Family is a team-centric work environment with strong work-life balance. We aim to pride ourselves on a constantly rotating selection of handcrafted brews encouraging very creative thought process to craft unique remarkable beers that wins hearts and awards. We want our brewer to experiment and grow with all the imagination! Starting pay is commensurate with experience. Compensation package includes medical insurance, 3 weeks paid leave and yearly technical training/conferences.

Major Responsibilities
- Recipe formulation
- Wort production
- Management of fermentation: filling, emptying & preparing stainless steel tanks & barrels for age and fermentation
- Cellaring (dry hops, fruit additions, etc.)
- Beer Transfer
- Cleaning tanks & kegs
- Raw material ordering, tracking, and handling
- Maintain workplace safety while upholding quality standards and standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Maintain extreme cleanliness of the beer production area.
Previous Experience & Other Requirements
- Have a minimum of 3 years professional brewing experience
- Have incredible attention to details
- Creative thought process and exemplary craftsmanship
- Positive and results-oriented attitude
- Desire to learn
- Understanding of proper chemical handling (safety and responsible use)
- Technical knowledge of all aspects of the brewing process
- Ability to take initiative to identify and solve problems
- Fundamental knowledge in microbiology and/or chemistry
