Proper Brewing Company in SLC, Utah, is hiring for a Head Brewer position. We are an award winning brewery looking to hire a Head Brewer. The Head Brewer is responsible for the beer production and overall operation in the brewhouse. The Head Brewer reports directly to the Brewery Manager and works closely with the Brewery Manager and the Head of Cellars to execute all functions of the brewery on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. The Head Brewer’s primary duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in raw material selection, recipe formulation, assisting in executing production schedules, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and finished product quality assurance/quality control procedures. The Head Brewer is responsible for optimization of brewery operations in the brewhouse, meeting budgets, and the ongoing development of the department and its staff. The Head Brewer must be a self-motivated, energetic, and passionate individual that is capable of brewing beer of the highest quality.
