    HEAD BREWER
    For our new Brew Pub located in Tilburg (south of the Netherlands) we are looking for a head brewer. The new location will consist of a 10HL brewing installation and a total of 80HL fermentation capacity. The pub will have 20 taps available of which 10 are reserved for LOC Brewery beers, with the core beers served from serving tanks. The remaining 10 taps will be rotating befriended (inter)national breweries.

    What’s the Job:
    As the Head Brewer, you will be responsible not just for beer production and brewhouse operations, but also be part of shaping the future of the offering. The Head Brewer will take the responsibility to ensure our core beer offering and new releases are of the highest quality.

    What you will be Doing:
    • Manage the entire brewing process; must be able to run a full brew day alone or with minimal assistance
    • Develop Brew schedule. Manage and scheduling for brewing tasks.
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of the brewery, i.e., kegging, cleaning, bottling, canning, etc.
    • Quality Control and Management – Keep daily barrel and brew records
    • Manage assistant brewers,
    • Select and order raw materials to be used throughout the brewing process,
    • Manage, monitor and maintain inventory based on recipe formulation and needs,
    • Manage maintenance schedule of brewhouse and equipment,
    • Research and Develop new recipes to meet the market demands and trends,
    • Work with the Pub Manager to promote beer sales,
    • Maintain safety and health standards,
    • Availability to assist in tours and tastings and be a positive representative of the brewery at festivals and events,
    • Flexible work schedule, weekends might be required.
    What Skills You Need:
    • Professional brewing experience for at least 3- 5 years.
    • Ability to work with others and receive constructive criticism and feedback.
    • Knowledge of all aspects of brewing and related equipment.
    • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
    • Focused problem-solver with the ability to stay calm and work under pressure and deadlines
    • A strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
