    Pike Brewing Company is in a period of radical and exciting change, and we are looking for the right brewer to help navigate this growth. Candidates will need to possess the know-how and relevant experience to successfully execute production, QA and most importantly development of new beer. We are seeking the right candidate to pilot this evolution with our team.
    Pike is an iconic Seattle brewery operating for over 30 years with an established reputation, customer base and backing. Pike brews high quality beer featuring local ingredients whenever possible, alongside our ongoing barrel program.

    Responsibilities include
    All aspects of the beer production process and day-to-day operations of the brewery, including managing resources and other brewers, making purchasing decisions, creating new beers, and managing production to meet the demands of the Pike Pub and wholesale.
    Source and order production supplies, work with suppliers and consistently monitor the quality of materials.
    Record keeping including, raw materials, recipes, scientific analysis, TTB, etc.
    Quality Control, maintain and monitor a system that ensures consistent, quality beer.
    Work with marketing to publicize the brewery and improve brand recognition.
    Meet with customers to showcase the quality of the beer that the brewery is producing to help build and service our customer base. Occasionally give customers guided tours of the brewery.
    Maintain Occupational Health & Safety and compliance. Ensure that staff are working in a safe environment. Manage hygiene on the production line and ensure that food safety standards are maintained.
    Manage equipment maintenance schedule on the production line to ensure equipment failure does not delay beer production.
    Manage staff skill development and in addition help organize training to develop staff’s skills.
    Coordinate with other teams within Pike Brewing Company to improve the profile of the brewery.
    Maintain a positive and inclusive culture in the brewery and with all touch points of Pike.
    Qualifications
    At least 3-5 years’ experience in brewing beer, working as a brewer and managing other staff.
    A degree in one or more of the following areas is a plus: brewing and distilling, chemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology, food science or food technology.
    Skills
    Excellent communication skills.
    Computer and technological skills.
    Engineering or mechanical skills are a plus.
    Capable of innovation and continual improvement.
    Recipe development and execution.
    Detail oriented. Ability and interest in SOPs, consistency, and process.
