  • Brewing Raw Materials Coordinator - New Belgium Brewing Company - Fort Collins, CO

    To assist all production areas with the physical handling and inventorying of bulk raw materials, chemicals and waste products.


    Essential Duties:
    • Provide labor for offloading OTR malt trucks, Chemical tankers, Sugar tankers and transfer chemicals around the NBB site and between NBB sites.
    • Perform daily inventory checks of all bulk chemicals
    • Manage the transition from bulk tanks to smaller containers for smaller projects and cleaning needs
    • Provide the labor for disposing of waste products such as Yeast, Hops, beer & sludge
    • Assist with scheduling of malt deliveries
    • Responsible for verifying documentation and QA samples associated with Malt, Chemical and Liquid Sugar deliveries
    • Cleaning and low-level maintenance of Malt storage
    • Other duties as assigned.
    Education/ Experience/Skills:
    • Must be OSHA HAZWOPR Level III certified (within 3 months)
    • Must have OSHA 10-Hr General Industry certification (within 2 years)
    • Must have working knowledge of OSHA material handling, storage and hazardous materials standards (within 2 years)
    • Solid knowledge in malt unloading systems, yeast transfer equipment, brewery process flow, raw materials inventory systems and chemical handling requirements
    • Some mechanical skills.

    Working Conditions: Distribution Center, Production Areas

    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 64 lbs. and carry objects equal to 45 lbs up to 50 feet.
    • Ability to Hoist 20 lbs., push/pull weights up to 50 lbs. and maintain the grip strength required to reach and hold up to 5 lbs.
    • Demonstrate their ability to climb up and down ladders, kneel, bend, twist, squat and reach overhead.
    • The position requires frequent, constant standing and walking endurance.

    Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.

    Hourly Wage: $18.50/hr
