    Job Description
    Assistant Brewer/Cellar-person
    Nano 108 Brewing Company is seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Assistant Brewer/Cellar-person. This position will report to the head Brewer and work closely with the other members of the brewery and cellar teams. Duties will include but will not be limited to brewing, cleaning and maintenance.

    Responsibilities:
    • Perform all cellar actions CIPS, SIPs, beer transfers, finings, dry hopping, fruit additions, yeast harvesting, tank dumps, force diacetyl tests, temperature adjustments etc.
    • Accurately record gravity and pH measurements
    • Monitor mechanical and operational integrity of brewing equipment
    • Perform routine maintenance of equipment from all aspects of production, including fermentation, cellaring, filtration and brewing
    • Work with prescribed cleaning chemicals, based upon established protocol, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements
    • Maintain sanitary standards for the microbial integrity of the products
    • Maintaining a sanitary, safe and organized environment

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • ]Self-directed, personally motivated with strong attention to detail
    • Minimum of one year of cellar experience. We are willing to train the right candidate on the brew house
    • Strong understanding and demonstrated experience in brewery cleaning and sanitization
    • Able to work to deadlines and prioritize workload
    • Schedule flexibility: swing shift and weekend work may be needed occasionally
    • Ability to perform all essential functions and physical demands of the job
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally 75 lbs
    • ]Ability to stand for long periods of time on concrete floors and ability to continuously be active including but not limited to: walking, stooping, bending, reaching and crouching
    • Employee may be exposed to temperature changes, wet or humid conditions, noise, vibrations, and other brew production-related hazards when in the brew production and storage areas
    • Work in small and confined spaces
    • Heightened awareness of safety precautions and hazards for self and others
