We are a small nano brewery in the upper peninsula of Michigan, opened in late 2018. The brewery also offers wood fired pizza that has been voted "Best Pizza" every year. We are now expanding our brewing operation in the early Winter of 2023 with a new ABE automated 5 bbl brewing system. We have 12 taps and self distribute beer in Michigan and Wisconsin. Our business is close to skiing, rafting, hiking, camping, fishing and mountain biking.

Job description

- Wort production
- Vessel/Brewhouse CIP and sanitation
- Assist in creating recipes and Standard Operating Procedures
- Yeast harvesting
- Handling raw materials
- Dry hopping and other secondary ingredient additions
- Transferring and carbonating beer
- Barrel work (transferring to/from, cleaning, purging, maintenance)
- Additional tasks related to brewing and cellaring beer
- Monitoring fermentation (gravity, pH, pitch rates, etc.)
- Maintaining accurate and coherent records
- Packaging and keg cleaning
- Maintaining a clean and organized, safe production environment
- Other miscellaneous duties as needed, including keg deliveries
- 2+ Years of brewing experience
- Skilled in recipe development
- Mechanically Inclined
- Able to lift and maneuver 55 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
