Assistant Distiller Needed in Des Moines IA

Foundry Distilling Company is hiring a new Assistant Distiller. Founded in 2018, Foundry Distilling is located in the rapidly growing West Des Moines area. Specializing in small batch private labels and boutique spirits, Foundry has cultivated a robust regional following. Foundry Distilling Co. has also worked with multiple nationally revered breweries in our Brewer Distiller Alliance. As Assistant Distiller, job duties include:


-Positively Representing Foundry Distilling Company and our brands
-Executing production, barreling, bottling, etc.
-Operational maintenance, cleaning and servicing of all equipment
-Leading tours and tastings
-Occasionally representing the company at events outside of the distillery
-Filling out all provided logs and procedural documents
-Cleaning the distillery
-Any other tasks deemed appropriate by management

-Exudes positive and energetic attitude
-Meticulous attention to detail
-Outgoing and able to talk to anyone
-Well spoken, polite, and responsible
-Ability to multitask and be flexible
-Loyalty to company and team


Ideal qualifications:


-Experience in alcohol production (brewery, distillery, winery)
-Computer skills
-Drivers license
-Bartending or retail experience
-Formal education in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or related field a plus but not required


Compensation: $40,000- $45,000
Eligible for commission
