Job Title: Brewer
Job Overview: Brewers will help maintain current production of Melvin Brewing Eureka beers and support growth of new brands and their production on our 10BBL system which we package in cans, bottles, and draft.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Maintain a very clean cellar with safe and sanitary practices
Provide assistance in the brewery cellar (transfers, packaging, cleaning, data collection, regular cellar upkeep)
Provide assistance in the barrel cellar (Clean, fill, transport and organize barrels)
Produce wort, monitor fermentation, add dry hops, fruit processing, etc.
Brewing recipes as requested to specifications
Clean and fill kegs
Provide assistance to retail pub facets and staff
Conduct cleaning of lines as requested on draft system
Provide assistance in the management of our warehouse (packaged goods / raw materials)
Provide assistance in extensive data collection and reporting (wort production, cellars, QA / QC)
Qualifications:
Minimum one year brewing experience
Ability to repetitively lift up to 60 lbs.
Ability to move up to 160 lbs.
Ability to work flexible hours both mornings and nights at times
Ability to maintain a positive and productive demeanor focused on company goals
Ability to work independently and thoughtfully with great attention
Experience with mixed fermentation and barrel aged beer preferred but not required
