Big Storm Brewery is rapidly growing and is looking for an experienced brewer to oversee beer production at our newest-soon to open locations in historic Ybor City.

Overview: Our Ybor Brewer will be responsible for producing and developing beer for Big Storm’s soon to opening location in Tampa-Ybor location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting in initial install and start up of brewing operations.
• All aspects of brewing from grain to glass.
• Maintaining a clean working facility.
• Managing all aspects of beer production and fermentation monitoring.
• Overseeing daily QA/QC tasks.
• Maintaining inventories and production paperwork.
• Education of staff and guests on all things beer.
• All other tasks associated with a successful brewing operation.

Experience and Skills:

• Prior brewery experience/education required
• Flexibility regarding morning/evening shifts with the potential to work at other locations
• Ability to follow stringent sanitary practices, as well as CIP protocol.
• Highly organized individual who will take pride in maintaining a clean, well-functioning brewery.
• Ability to complete repetitive movements frequently and repeatedly lift 55 lbs, and capable of regularly moving 150 lbs
• Commitment to ensuring safe completion of complex and potentially dangerous tasks
• Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment to accomplish tasks
• Ability to self-manage
• Needs to be a leader and positive team player
• A passion for producing quality beer.

The ideal candidate would be an individual who has been brewing in a lead/managing role and is interested in an additional challenge.
