    ABOUT BUCK WILD BREWING:

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    WE ARE GROWING AND NEED YOUR HELP…!
    We are looking to add a highly-motivated and reliable Assistant Brewer to the Buck Wild team. A successful candidate will have a mechanical aptitude and willingness to participate in all aspects of the production and packaging process. This is an hourly position that reports to the Head Brewer. This is an exciting opportunity to join Buck Wild as a critical team member, one who wants to learn all there is to know about the production of craft beer and help us to shape the future of our young and exciting company.

    As a Buck Wild Assistant Brewer, you will:
    • Maintain a safe and secure working environment within the cellar and brewing areas
    • Continually evaluate and update SOPs (standard operating procedures) and standards of excellence regarding safety and production
    • Help to create, and accurately follow, SOPs and understand specific beer processes
    • Be responsible for warehouse organization and managing storage space
    • Maintain Taproom draft systems, including cleaning and replacing lines
    • Operate both manual and computer-process equipment
    • Be trained to operate and maintain canning line equipment
    • Be trained to operate and have knowledge of brewing equipment
    • Learn how to operate and maintain keg washer and filler system
    • Be trained on yeast handling and overall yeast management
    • Be trained on QA/QC equipment
    • Act in compliance with US laws and accepted business ethics with personal and others’ safety, conservation, and process efficiency in mind
    • Be able work a variable shift schedule that is dependent upon the operational needs of the brewery
    • Demonstrate a professional and engaged demeanor at all times and treat every employee, customer, vendor, and/or client with dignity and respect in all interactions
    • Perform weekly and monthly inventory audits and reconciliation of overages/shortages of raw materials, finished goods, and parts
    • Perform many other duties as needed, desired and assigned

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
    • Minimum of 21 years of age
    • 2 years of experience working in a brewery is preferred
    • Candidates who have completed any graduate work or other brewery specific education are exciting to us
    • The candidate should possess a strong understanding of all areas of safety and brewery standards as they relate to high quality processes and safety
    • Self-motivated, know how to use a computer, have excellent written skills and good verbal communication

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
    • Mechanical Aptitude - a solid mechanical-based skill set for systems, processes and tools
    • Problem Solving Skills - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
    • Planning/Organization Skills - prioritize and plan work activities, and use time efficiently
    • Adaptability - Ability to pivot in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events without causing undue stress or a lapse in quality of work
    • Dependability - punctual, can follow instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance
    • Focus on Safety & Security - Must always observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
    • Experience with various Brewery Management Software is an added bonus but not required

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Carry/lift heavy items, transferring/lifting or pushing items, ability to lift 50-150lbs repetitively throughout a shift
    • Working in awkward positions, operating heavy equipment, or holding body in one position for a prolonged period
    • Standing for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
    • Ability to climb and descend stairs

    COMPENSATION:
    • $18-$22 per hour Depending on Experience
