About Boundary Bay:Independently owned and operated, Boundary Bay Brewing Company has been making great handcrafted beer and fresh, local food for the Bellingham community since 1995. Boundary Bay Brewery houses a Taproom and family-friendly Bistro, located in a restored historic 1922 warehouse in Downtown Bellingham. We product about 6,000 barrels per year, packaging in kegs, 22oz bottles and 12oz cans.
We’re looking to add an energetic, full-time member to our brew team. The Shift Brewer position that complements our growing crew with a heavy focus on brewing and cellar work. The ideal candidate will weave into our developed crew with a strong teamwork ethic, high levels of communication, the ability to multitask while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. To be successful in this position you must adhere to our standard operating procedures for quality assurance measures and follow our safety standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Wort production on our two vessel 20hl brewhouse
- Preparation and handling of raw ingredients for the brewing process.
- Miscellaneous cellar operations including yeast handling and pitching, dry hopping, CIP, general cleaning, and sanitation, monitoring of beer on-site including gravities, DO, CO2, etc., and packaging (kegging, canning & bottling) as needed.
- Follow directions and communicate with team to solve issues that may arise.
- Ability to work within set communication styles (email / text / etc)
- Perform all assigned duties while following Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ability to perform other task as assigned with a positive attitude
- Must utilize brewery software for production, inventory and reporting
Required Skills & Abilities:
- 2+ years of production brewing experience is required for this position.
- Ability to lift 55+ lbs continuously, occasionally lifting 100+ lbs.
- Familiarity with industry equipment
- Open Availability
- Chemistry / Science background is a plus
- Cicerone Beer Server, Certified Cicerone (preferred)
