Mother Earth Brew Co is looking for a motivated, experienced Brewer to join our team. We are located about 20 minutes from downtown Boise in a 40,000 square foot building. We produce about 30,000 bbls of beer per year, ranging from our flagship Cali Creamin' Vanilla Cream Ale to art inspired Project X Hazy IPAs. The ideal candidate would have experience brewing on a commercial brewing system in a production brewery and be interested in growing with with the company. Additionally, we are installing a 5 bbl pilot brew house and seeking recipe development experience to expand the Mother Earth product line and provide variety at the Boise Taproom.

- Operate 40 bbl fully automated four vessel Mueller Brew House
- Perform brewing tasks according to Mother Earth’s standard operating procedures (SOP) including: milling, mashing, lautering, boiling, and transfer to fermenter.
- Brew beer precisely to written recipe and recording all pertinent information.
- Operate 5 bbl Criveller Brew House
- Perform cellar tasks according to Mother Earth’s SOP including: CIP/SIP of FV and BBTs, yeast handling, dry hops and hop recirculation, beer transfers, carbonation, and kegging
- Operate Andritz CA-71 centrifuge according to SOP
- Help with bottling and canning as needed
- Follow all cleanup procedures post brewing/cellaring
- Follow all Mother Earth safety standards
- Alert Head Brewer immediately of any quality control issues
- Other duties as directed by Head Brewer and Management
Qualifications
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Absolute passion for brewing and craft beer
- Prior brewing experience at a production or pub style brewery
- Ability to lift and move 175 pound keg repetitively
- Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively
- Forklift certified
- Flexible schedule
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Brewing education a plus
- Bachelor's degree in brewing related discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, etc. is a plus
- Genuine interest in being part of team and pushing our equipment and understanding of beer to produce world class products is a must
