Orange Hat Brewing Company is sailing into her third year, and is setting her sails towards GROWTH! Orange Hat has taken on strategic sponsorships, moving into a new location, and geared up for local distribution. In order to be successful in this expansion, Orange Hat is in search of the perfect Assistant Brewer. This Assistant Brewer will have a significant amount of autonomy with his/her work while working along side one of the greatest Head Brewers in the industry. Although Orange Hat has a few "mainstay" brews, we are constantly providing new brews to our tasting room. Orange Hat has a 7bbl Brewhouse with 135bbl fermentation capacity. Our west location supports 24 taps, while our east location will provide 10-12 taps. We have secured one contract brew and are in talks with a second contract brew partner.

In order to succeed with this growth, Orange Hat is offering a FULL TIME salary position.

Our current head brewer is a traditionalist at heart. He brews remarkable traditional style beers. The Assistant Brewer that we are in search of must specialize in the "hit beers"....HAZY....PASTRY....SOUR....what is the NEW NEW?....Thats what we want our new assistant brewer to specialize in. The Assistant Role




The Assistant Brewer is an entry-level position in Orange Hat Brewing Department. The Assistant Brewer position consists of following of standard operating procedures, raw materials handling and staging, inventory management, data entry, sanitation and other duties as assigned. This position's duties must be performed with high-level attention to detail while maintaining Orange Hat safety standards and sanitary excellence.







What You Will Do

• Accurate staging of materials and ingredients for Brewing Department as defined by recipes
• Hot-side and Cold-side hop charge set-up and management
• Housekeeping and sanitation
• Receiving, off-loading & stocking of production raw materials
• Inventory control, data entry, and lot tracking (FIFO)
• Maintenance and rebuild of hardware
• COP (clean out of place) and CIP (clean in place) of dirty hardware and vessels
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Skills

• Basic literacy skills required
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Ability and willingness to positively contribute to a team-focused department
• Ability to maintain a strict attention to detail, a passion for accuracy, and a commitment to continuous improvement
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) are desired
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little direct supervision is desired
