Snake Lake Brewing Company – Sylvan Lake, Alberta
Snake Lake Brewing Company, located in Sylvan Lake Alberta, is a 35 hectoliter brewhouse with a cellar that consists of 8 – 35hec fermenter, 1 – 35hec brite tanks, 1 – 70hec fermenter and 2 – 70hec brite.
We are looking for a driven, motivated, self starter who can work independently, as well as follow direction and take good care in detail. This is a fulltime position that would support the Head Brewer in our facility.
The start date for this position will be immediate.
The position will be full-time with some evenings and weekend work, will have an industry competitive salary with an employee benefits program.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Recipe development
- Selecting and preparing the ingredients
- Operating the brewhouse
- Managing the fermentation process
- Yeast management and lab work
- Canning and kegging
- Shipping and receiving
- Following strict cleaning and sanitation procedures for the equipment and vessels
- Inventory administration
- Record Keeping
Skills and Qualifications:
- Brewmaster and Brewery Operations Management Diploma is an asset
- Basic computer knowledge
- Previous brewery work experience is an asset
- ProServe certificate
- Class 5 drivers licence
- Forklift training certification
- Physically capable of moving and lifting heavy objects
- Self-motivated
- Able to work well with others
