    Job Description:

    The head brewer oversees and operates main brewing system located onsite at our waterfront restaurant as well as all contract brewing operations. We are seeking a motivated, creative, and passionate individual who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity to join our team and manage all aspects of brewing operations. The Head Brewer is a key leadership role that will work closely with others to develop strategic plans for sales growth, brand development and product innovation.


    • Oversee the production of existing and new products
    • Oversee daily operations
    • Oversee all quality control and brew-house standards
    • Manage production schedule
    • Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and other necessary supplies
    • Manage vendor relationships and raw material ordering
    • Keep accurate and organized daily production records
    • Develop new recipes and see them through from concept to final product
    • Keep up to date with new and emerging trends, styles, ingredients, and processes
    • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair brewery equipment
    • Maintain and create SOP’s to ensure that all aspects of brewing operations are completed in a consistent, safe and efficient manner.
    • Publicly represent our brand as needed for external events, festivals, tours, and/or interviews
    • Provide beer education to the restaurant staff
    • Oversee the restaurant beer program
    • Ensure that brewery equipment and production area is kept clean, organized and in good working order to meet quality, sanitation and safety standards.
    • Oversee and coordinate brewery maintenance with professional contractors as needed.
    • Provide all necessary information on beer styles to sales and brewpub managers in a timely manner.

      • 5+ years of professional brewing experience
      • Hands-on leadership skills and the ability to work well with others
      • Expert level knowledge of brewing processes, brewery science, and quality control
      • Experience in new recipe development
      • Excellent organizational and communication skills
      • Strong understanding of ingredient sourcing
      • Must be able to regularly lift 55lbs to shoulder height and occasionally up to 170lbs
      • Strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations
      • Positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills
      • Must be punctual.
      • Availability to work various shifts days, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
      • Must possess the ability to stand for at least 10-12 hours a day.
      • Must possess the ability to bend, twist, kneel and climb stairs and/or ladder frequently.
      • Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold conditions.
      • Ability to work with hazardous mechanical equipment.
      • Ability to safely use acidic and alkaline chemicals.
      • Must have a passion and excitement for the craft beer industry and have a desire be a part of a fast-paced growing company
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Suite
      • Salary commensurate with experience.
