Roe Jan Brewing Company operates a 7BBL brewery and 200+ seat brewpub/beer garden in the beautiful Hudson Valley, halfway between the Berkshires and the Hudson River. We are looking for an experienced brewery professional to operate the brewery and manage our wholesale operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about beer and brewing, is a team player, brings a broad range of skills, has excellent attention to detail, and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done. This is a full-time salaried position and a relocation opportunity for the right candidate. This position reports to our Brewery Operations Manager.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
  • Brew beer and perform cellaring tasks according to SOPs
  • Work with Brewery Operations Manager to develop and update SOPs as needed
  • Clean and sanitize all equipment and work areas
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies
  • Manage wholesale orders and deliveries
  • Maintain brewery records for federal/state compliance
  • Participate in raw material selection and evaluation
  • Develop recipes for RJBC according to brand standards and philosophy
  • Ensure adequate inventory of raw goods, brewery supplies and beer
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all brewery equipment
  • Conduct sensory evaluation to maintain consistent beer quality
  • Train RJBC staff in beer and brewing process knowledge
  • Develop beer marketing strategies with the RJBC team
  • Participate in off-site events and festivals as a brand representative
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years professional brewing experience preferred – potential learning opportunity for the right candidate
  • Fundamental knowledge of plumbing, mechanics and process flow
  • Broad knowledge of beer styles and industry trends
  • Ability to communicate well with staff, guests and others
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
