Description
We are looking for a highly-motivated individual with basic scientific knowledge. The individual should have a passion for the art and science behind making distilled spirits. The Sagamore Spirit Laboratory Technician is responsible for maintaining all processes and equipment used in distillery lab procedures. This teammate is tasked with collecting and interpreting quality data from different parts of whiskey manufacturing and building reports that help steer the production process. Additionally, this position runs the distillery spirit sensory program, developing training protocols while ensuring consistency and quality of participant data.

Scope of Position but not limited to:
- Collecting and processing raw material, fermentation, and spirit samples.
- Interpret, build upon and comply with company quality assurance standards
- Sensory program maintenance and development.
- Data entry and record keeping quality control, data interpretation for reports.
- Routine cleaning and upkeep of lab workspace, lab equipment, and rest of facility as needed.
Requirements
Skill Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent – college level courses in math and science courses, preferred
- Laboratory experience, preferred
- Strong investigative skills, ability to trouble shoot spirit production processes and laboratory equipment.
- Detail-oriented, analytically competent, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as Power BI & Power Apps
- Strong communication skills.
- Safety focused.
- Hard working, humble, and thrives in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, preferred
- Passionate about the craft of distilling and takes pride in accomplishments.
- Ability to be on your feet for long hours
