  • Brewer (Second Shift) – Dragoon Brewing Company, Tucson, AZ

Dragoon Brewing Company is looking for a motivated brewer to join our team. This is a full-time entry level position. Prior experience at a production brewery is recommended but not required.

As this position will primarily operate during our second shift, applicants must have regular availability between the hours of 9am and 9pm Monday through Friday.

    Job Description

Brewers on our production staff are ultimately responsible for most processes involved in the production of beer, from grain to package. It is expected that cross-training through all processes may take upwards of a year (possibly more, depending on needs). But, ultimately, when fully cross-trained a brewer will be able to safely, effectively, and on a regular basis complete tasks related to:
    • Producing wort on our 30bbl three-vessel brewhouse.
    • Cellar work, including filtering, dry hopping, harvesting yeast, and cleaning tanks.
    • Packaging finished beer, including kegging and canning on our 6-head can line.

It is anticipated that a brewer new to our staff will spend the first few months exclusively packaging beer and assisting warehouse operations prior to advancing into the cellar (and then, eventually, brewhouse).

Important characteristics of successful brewers include: strong attention to detail, a willingness to listen and learn, great communication skills, humility.

The brewer reports to the Head Brewer and Operations Manager.
