    Packaging & Warehouse Lead

    Black Hog Brewing, an award winning craft brewery in Oxford, CT, is looking for a Packaging & Warehouse Lead. This is a full-time (40 hours /week) salaried position, Monday - Friday. We offer a competitive salary, paid-time off, medical benefits, a 401k with employer match, and a generous beer allowance.

    Responsibilities Including but not limited to:
    • Operating AND maintaining ALL packaging equipment. This includes Ska Half-Pint Depalletizer, Keyence Date Coder, Wild Goose 4-headed Can filler, Pack Leader Labeler, American Canning PakTec applicator, custom collection table, and Premier Stainless 2 headed Keg Washer.
    • Leading the Packaging Assistant
    • Cleaning Kegs
    • Filling kegs
    • Filling cans
    • Checking dissolved oxygen levels in cans using Anton-Parr CBox
    • Keeping all equipment in excellent condition
    • Maintaining electronic (Google Sheet) Repair & Maintenance Logs & Preventative Maintenance Schedule
    • Checking carbonation of finished beer before packaging
    • Making sure beer scheduled to be packaged is approved by a Brewer, Head Brewer, or Executive Brewer before packaging.
    • Maintaining a clean workspace.
    • Maintaining inventory of all packaging materials.
    • Building Orders for distribution.
    • Operating and maintaining forklift.


    Experience:
    • A minimum of 1 year Operating and Maintaining a keg washer.
    • A minimum of 1 year Operating and Maintaining a canning line.
    • A minimum of 1 year working in a fast paced production brewery.
    • Experience with leading & training others.
    • Basic computer skills/knowledge

    Ideal Candidate will possess the following:
    • An interest in personal and professional growth.
    • A focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.
    • Able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and maneuver 165 lbs.
    • Able to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 6am & 6pm.
    • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
    • Able to communicate effectively within a team through verbal and written communication (i.e. maintaining preventative maintenance logs, checking emails, etc.).
    • An interest in packaging high quality craft beverages and having fun while doing it!
