Our brewery just got a major upgrade...a twin 30 barrel system. And we need one more brewer for it.
The majority of your time will be spent brewing.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Detailed record keeping and quality control reporting
Recipe formulation and development. Create, brew, and refine new and existing beer recipes
Monitor each step of the brewing process
Maintain the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Participate in festivals, promotional events, public tours, education, tastings, and interaction with brewery guests.
Maintain a harmonious team environment with all staff
Mentor and train less experienced brewers in the cellar and brewhouse
Maintain inventories of raw and finished goods, and place/recieve orders for additional needed product.
Cutting controllable costs and maintaining a profitable brewery
Use of proper and safe chemical handling techniques
Daily cleaning and upkeep of appearance in brewery
Safety Protocols and OSHA compliance
Assist in future planning for growth
Qualifications:
At least 2 years brewing experience on a 15 bbl or greater system.
Experience with a 15 bbl system or greater; ideal candidate will have some experience with a 60 bbl system.
Strong mechanical aptitude;Past brewery installation experience is a plus
Lab skills and Yeast handling/propagation proficiency
Excellent time management, prioritization, and delegating skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and attentive to quality and standards
Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly and safely
Comfortable working inside confined spaces and elevated platforms and ladders
Flexibility with work hours and availability is a must
Cicerone certification and love of craft beer a major plus!
