Kros Strain Brewing, located in LaVista, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time Brewer.. The brewery has a 20bbl custom 3-vessel brewhouse capable of multiple batches per day. We are currently packaging in bottles with a new 70bpm bottle filler. Kros Strain Brewing is located within minutes of 4 other breweries, right off of a bike path, and in the up and coming Exit 442 Fermentation District of the Omaha metro.
The brewery is owned and operated by two young experienced brewers looking to bring something new to the Nebraska craft beer market. Kros Strain focuses on quality and is always looking to improve quality measures. The brewery is currently producing an easy drinking traditional German Helles, a super juicy IPA and New England IPA, a roasty English style mild/amber, and a hugely aromatic double IPA with new beers coming on tap often.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Brewer will be responsible for wort production, tank cleaning, yeast counting, and some QA/QC work. This is primarily a brewing position however we expect all employees to jump in where needed.
This is not an entry level position. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in a packaging brewery. Additionally, lab skills, bottling experience, forklift certification, sensory analysis skills, barrel aging experience, award winning beer experience and a brewing education are desired.
We are looking for the type of individual that constantly thinks about processes and is always looking to improve them. This type of person is someone who can think on their feet and come up with solutions problems that arise.
All the standard brewery work requirements apply - lift 55+lbs, work in cold/wet/hot environments, work with chemicals, etc.
