Boomtown Brewery is looking for a Morning Brewer to join our team. We are located in the heart of the Art District in Downtown LA. We are a growing brewery that will be doubling in production this year. There is a great team in place and we are looking to keep the quality up during these times of growth. With the growth we will have plenty of room for upward movement within the company.
The Morning Brewer will work closely with our Lead Brewer and Brewery Manager to ensure quality product is completed in a safe and timely manner. Shifts typically run from 6/7am - 2/4pm. Flexible weekday schedule possible with the right person.
RESPONSIBILIES:
Coordinate with Lead Brewer, Head Brewer and Brewery Manager on production
Brew on our 15bbl+ analog brewhouse
Help complete daily tasks such as milling, brewing, racking, CIPing, dry hopping, gravities, cleaning, etc.
Lots of cleaning, aka, brewing.
Morning brews begin from 6 to 7am.
EXPERIENCE:
1+ years of small production experience (10-20bbl brewhouse)
High level skills on a manual (analog) brewhouse
Ekos Brewmaster a plus
Google Suite
Any maintenance experience a plus
Waking up early
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must be 21+ years of age
Strong analytical and critical thinking
Mechanical and technical aptitude
Team player yet able to work autonomously
Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement procedures for solutions
Able to lift 165 lbs
Focused and calm under pressure
"Morning person"
Self driven and motivated
EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS:
Brewhouse- Mash mixer, lauter tun, kettle, whirlpool
Canning Line
Centrifugal Pump
Fork lift
Basic Lab- pH meter, microscope, forced D-test
Centrifuge- experience a plus
