    This position operates the brewhouse for wort production.

    Essential Responsibilities
    • Mastery of all operator level tasks.
    • Keeps up with all brewery house process changes.
    • Stages malt pallets for later in the week and foresees any material shortages.
    • Accurately performs inventory count.
    • Accurately issues materials in OBeer from the correct batches and send out email if things are off.
    • Attempts to trouble shoot small brewing and mechanical problems.
    • Organizes, rotates and labels raw materials; oldest inventory is used first.
    • Performs bask preventative maintenance on mill. Checks mill magnets and uses proper lock out/tag out procedures.
    • Incorporates cleaning projects int daily routine, while not falling behind on other job responsibilities.
    • Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment.

    Additional Responsibilities
    • Supports the basic training of brewer operation
    • Starts to see the link between brewery departments; checking future FV status, yeast and yeast brink status, brewery hours CIP schedule, adjust brew schedule in OBeer.
    • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

    Physical & Mental Requirements

    Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, in at times extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle stressors of the position in operational and administrative situations. Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
