    Neighbors Brewing will be opening a 10,000 sq. ft. brewpub in Leeds, Al this fall. We are looking for an experienced brewer to operate our 15 bbl, automated brewhouse. We will have 3) 15 bbl and 3) 30 bbl Unitanks. We will be serving from 8) glycol jacketed serving tanks.

    We will also be supplying a 3 screen drive-in movie theater adjacent to the brewpub.

    ABOUT THE JOB
    Neighbors Brewing is seeking an exceptional, self-motivated candidate to join our dedicated and hard-working team. Our successful candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, a mechanical aptitude, and must have at least one year of experience in the industry (a brewing degree from a recognized brewing school is preferred but not necessary)

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Wort production on a 15BBL system
    • Strict adherence to CIP process and SOP's in all areas of the brewery
    • Monitoring and tracking fermentation
    • Dry hopping and Fining
    • Dropping and pitching yeast
    • Transferring, Carbonating, Kegging and cleaning kegs
    • Milling grain and removal of spent grain
    • Various other janitorial type tasks and routine maintenance as dictated

    REQUIREMENTS
    • 1+ years’ work in commercial brewery production
    • Formal training/ education preferred, but not required
    • Knowledge of industry standards and trends
    • Must be 21 years of age or older at time of application

    • The ability to work as a member of our team and independently, while prioritizing tasks with the greater goal in mind, is essential
    • Must be punctual, self-motivated, and able to communicate with staff effectively on all levels
    • Ability to solve problems and work through difficult challenges while maintaining a positive attitude
    • Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment with various hazardous chemicals in a hot and humid environment
    • Lifting, pushing, crouching, reaching, walking and standing for extended amounts of time
    • Duties may include occasional nights, weekends, or early mornings depending on production needs (you work until the job is done or someone else is taking over)
    • Overall passion and love for the craft and a desire to grow with it and our company should be your drive

    COMPENSATION
    Competitive salaried wage based on previous work experience and expertise.
