Pale Fire Brewing Co. is looking for the next member of our production team!
We have an assistant brewer position open immediately.
As our new assistant brewer, here's what you can expect to do:
- Produce lots of wort
- Clean brewhouse & production space
- Perform cellar & packaging duties (including operating bottling line)
- Clean brewhouse & production space
- Lab work (cell counts, viability tests, media plates, etc.)
- Clean brewhouse & production space
- Maintain records of production operations; both hardcopy & digital
- Clean production space & brewhouse (just to shake things up)
Here are the qualifications we expect in an ideal candidate:
- At least 2 years of brewing experience, though all resumes are welcome. Relative experience in a manufacturing environment is also valuable.
- An attention to detail that borders on the maniacal
- An ability to achieve a level of cleanliness that crosses that border
- A firm commitment to the safety of both yourself & others
- The ability to work efficiently & effectively both independently, & as part of a team
- Effective communication, listening, & problem solving skills
- An open & enterprising attitude (ideally with a bend toward the geekier side of life)

We are located in Harrisonburg, VA, right in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The right candidate will be expected to live in or relocate to Harrisonburg or the surrounding communities. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people...and beautiful beer!
