JOB TITLE: Cellar Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY: Green Flash Brewing Company seeks a team player to join our rapidly expanding brewery as Cellar Supervisor. Under the supervision of the Head Brewer, the Cellar Supervisor is responsible for overseeing efficient execution of all cellar operations. This includes effective management and scheduling of all cellarmen. Further, the Cellar Supervisor will maintain inventory of raw materials, filter media, and all supplies related to CIP, fermentation, filtration, quality control, and proper conditioning of all beer. The Cellar Supervisor ensures the highest quality and consistency through oversight of CIP, fermentation, yeast management, dry hopping, beer transfers, filtering, conditioning, and analytical testing. Duties will also include management of cask conditioned ales and the barrel aging program. This position requires strong communications skills, the ability to manage, train, and motivate production staff, a proven mechanical aptitude, an extensive knowledge of beer production, storage and packaging, and excellent attention to detail and record keeping. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in related discipline and/or certification or graduation from an accredited Brewer Training Institution. A minimum of five years progressive industry related experience is required with a minimum of one year of experience providing work direction, supervising cellar personnel in a packaging brewery. The Cellar Supervisor will also fill in for any brewers and/or packaging staff as required.
