Company Overview:

MENDOCINO BREWING COMPANY INC. is internationally as a brewer of full-flavored, traditional ales. The company was established in 1983 as California's first Brewpub in Hopland and is reconized as a pioneer in the American Craft Brewing renaissance. We now have two state of the art breweries, one in Ukiah, CA 110 miles north of San Francisco and the other in Saratoga Springs, NY.

From very small beginnings in 1983, the Mendocino Brewing Company has growen from Craft Brewpub status, to becoming in 2009 the 30th largest Craft Brewer in the United States, 6th largest Craft Brewer in the state of Califronia. sales by volume now exceeds 75,000 barrels annually with distribution in 43 states.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
2 years experience in a production brewery enviroment. A General Cirtificate or Diploma in Brewing from the institute of Brewing and Distilling or similar institution is preferred.
Must be able to accurately and legibly record daily information
Strong technical knowledge of fermentation and the finishing stage of beer production.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in varying climates and on ladders.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Must be able to wrok varying shifts (days, evenings).

Primary Responsablities:

Operation of DE & Plate filters.
Fermentor/ Bright beer tank cleaning and sanitation.
Fermentation monitoring.
Lab analysis include cell counts, yeast viability, gravities and chemical titrations.
Communicate process or quality problems to the Brewing Manager.
Maintain a clean and organized work inviroment.
