Lakewood Brewing Company in Dallas needs a highly motivated and knowledgeable cellar/brewer/bottling line person to join our fast growing team in what can only be described as a Gold Rush time for craft beer growth in North Texas.

The oldest brewery in Dallas just celebrated it's 1 year anniversary (yes you read that right) and in that short year the craft beer scene in DFW has exploded. We are just the third to open and in the four months we've been operational have seen very dramatic growth and potential.

We currently sit in a newly remodeled 11,000 sq foot facility just north of town. We have a new semi-automated Newlands 30bbl 3-vessel brewhouse, 240bbls of fermentation space (and growing) and a new 12-12-1 Comac bottling line.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Strong knowledge of the brewing process
• Ability to understand and follow SOPs
• Working to high quality standards with and without direct supervision
• 2+ year experience in a production packaging brewery
• Excellent communication skills with the public, personable
• Packaging experience
• Bottling and kegging experience
• Experience in CIP of fermentation vessels/bright tanks, fermentation monitoring, lab work
• Formal brewing education not required but a plus
• Mechanical / Engineering background desireable

Typical physical requirements will apply, including:
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift 55 pound grain bags and full kegs
• Ability to ascend and descend staircase repeatedly throughout shift
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme temperatures
• Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level

This is a full time position. Benefits include paid vacation, sick pay,and paid holidays. Salary will be dependent on experience.
