    Job title: Assistant Brewer/Cellarman
    Hours: 30 – 40 hours (or more) weekly
    Sunriver Brewing Company is seeking a detail oriented team player with a passion for the highest quality craft beer. We desire someone who can work safely in a busy, fast growing Central Oregon craft brewery. That person should have ridiculously high standards of brewery sanitation and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be looking for long term employment in our brewery, with the possibility of advancing into the role of shift brewer as the company grows.

    Job description includes, but is not limited to -
    • Assist brewing staff with wort production as needed
    • Keg washing
    • Packaging of draft, bottled and canned beer
    • Draft system cleaning, maintenance and installations
    • Managing the beer cooler and rotating inventory as needed
    • Pulling and loading orders for distribution.
    • Wastewater management
    • Checking gravities, dry hopping tanks, monitoring fermentation temps and testing CO2 levels of conditioning beer
    • CIP brite beer tanks, hoses, parts, etc
    • Transfer/rack beer
    • General brewery cleaning and maintenance
    • Draft soda and root beer production
    • Recipe formulation and new product development via brewing on 3 BBL pilot system
    • Attend industry related events and give brewery tours as needed

    Qualification and skill requirements –
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
    • Previous work experience in a commercial brewery is preferred
    • Formal education from a recognized brewing school is preferred
    • Ability to lift 55 + lbs repeatedly
    • Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred
    • Willing to be flexible with work schedule (nights and weekends as needed)
    • Ability to stand, crouch and walk for long periods of time
    • Ability to work on a ladder at heights 10’ above floor level
    • Ability to work in noisy, hot/cold and wet environments
    • Ability to work safely, and without allergic reaction, to brewery sanitation chemicals
    • Basic computer skills – MS Excel, Word, Power Point, Google calendars
