WOODS Beer Co. recently opened its third brewpub in Oakland's Uptown neighborhood. We are looking to hire an Assistant Brewer / Cellarperson to work closely with our brewer on our new 3 BBL system. Responsibilities will include cleaning & sanitation, brewing, packaging, and driving for deliveries. This is an exciting opportunity that will provide commercial brewing experience and opportunity for growth.
We are seeking a candidate with the following attributes:
• Strong knowledge of the brewing process and extensive homebrewing experience
• Ability to create and follow SOPs
• Attention to detail
• Self motivated and able to work independently
• A desire to interact with people and good communication skills
• Experience in a production brewery preferred
• Experience in CIP of brewing vessels preferred
• Food science education preferred
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift 55 pound bags overhead and ability to move 150 pound full kegs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
