    Butler Brew Works is currently seeking an ambitious individual who would like an entry level position in the craft brewing industry. Our brewery takes great pride in quality, creativity and a drive to always do better. We work hard on having a stellar reputation and being a contributing member of our local community.     Cellar/Packaging Person

    Making great beer is hard work, but extremely rewarding to those who appreciate the end result. We need an extra set of hands in the brewery to keep our operations moving smoothly. The Cellar/Packaging Person will work side by side with the rest of the crew during brewing, cellar work, packaging, and various other tasks. Individuals suited for this position will enjoy craft beer and have a desire to learn about the brewing process. It is crucial to have a “do what it takes” mentality.

    Essential Job Functions:

    · Measure and stage ingredients

    · Use brewhouse, packaging, pumps, laboratory equipment and other production equipment safely and properly

    · Clean equipment and all surfaces in brewery

    · See, taste and smell beer daily

    · Assist in all aspects of brewing, packaging, cleaning, etc.

    Physical Demands – Applicants Must Safely Be Able To:

    · Stand for long periods of time (up to 10 hours per day)

    · Repeatedly lift heavy materials such as 55lb sacks of grain and full kegs over 150lbs

    · Use a ladder to work on tanks that are 7ft tall

    · Handle hazardous materials

    · Handle hot fluids

    · Handle pressurized vessels and transfer lines

    · Handle extremely variable temperature levels

    · Perform job with and around moving machinery

    · Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

    Other Job Duties:

    · Represent Butler Brew Works at various events and programs such as brew festivals

    · Change kegs for the taproom

    · Occasionally give tours of the brewery, speak to taproom guests and educate staff on new beers

    Requirements:

    · Some familiarity with the brewing process and common industry terminology preferred

    · Professional or home brewing experience preferred

    · Reliable transportation

    · A good attitude, task oriented, organized and follows instructions well

    · Ability to adapt on the fly

    · 20+ hours a week
